Of all the parts of creating an audio story, scripting can be the hardest. Audio demands a different kind of writing than print, and many producers struggle to get helpful feedback on their scripts. That's where this course comes in.
Through discussions, hands-on activities, and close listening, we will build your toolkit for creating scripts that hook and engage listeners. You will learn how to choose and write to tape, strategies for structuring your narrative, and tips for writing clear and captivating prose—in other words how to write for audio. We'll spend the final class providing group feedback on your scripts.
This course is best suited for intermediate producers and print writers who are making the transition to audio. Bring a story in progress and lots of questions.
