Led by producer, David Freudberg, we’ll listen to a half-hour Humankind audio documentary titled, Health Care with Kindness. Many people feel dehumanized by encounters with modern medical care, which is often expensive and rushed. In this episode, we’ll visit a remarkable community clinic in Reno, Nevada where patients feel seen, heard and respected. The clinic director became sensitized to this need by her own experience as an unhoused person battling addiction. We hear her remarkable story, as well as comments by patients and providers at the clinic, where much of the care is subsidized.
