VIRTUAL: Podcast Wine Down with Through The Cracks

Are you curious about podcasts? At Podcast Wine Down, you’ll listen to a series of audio clips from WAMU’s Through The Cracks and join a discussion with Host Jonquilyn Hill and moderator Se’era Spragley Ricks. When 8 year old Relisha Rudd disappeared from a homeless shelter in Washington, D.C. in 2014, nobody noticed. By the time authorities formally declared Relisha “missing,” 18 days had passed since she’d been spotted at school or the shelter where her family lived. Seven years later, Relisha has never been found. Through The Cracks investigates gaps in our society and the people who fall through them, and in this first season, host Jonquilyn Hill asks if Relisha’s disappearance was, as the city later claimed, unpreventable.

As we go behind-the-scenes of the making of this podcast, you’ll walk away with a deeper appreciation for audio storytelling and some practical approaches for creating your own podcast or audio project.

The gathering is free - grab your favorite beverage and snack and join us online. RSVP below - all are welcome! We will send you instructions on how to join us beforehand.
