Nneka Julia is a writer, photographer, and storyteller based in Detroit, Michigan. As the daughter of immigrants hailing from Cambodia and Nigeria, her work is invariably inspired by travel, culture, and the human experience.

In 2018, she started The Passing Through Podcast as a way to archive the narratives behind her images. Since publishing the first episode, Passing Through ranked among the top 100 podcasts in Society & Culture in the US and sold out a 200+ person live show in NYC.

ABOUT OUR FACILITATOR

Meet Se’era! the Community Manager at the PRX Podcast Garage D.C. The focal point and catalyst of her goals has been uplifting diverse, innovative and underrepresented voices. She has sought out opportunities to engage and collaborate with her community to serve, build partnerships and bring amazing content that resonates and connects the District.
