The Podcaster’s Retreat is a six-hour podcasting intensive for new podcasters that don't know where to start and seasoned podcasters looking for a fresh take on their shows!
In the retreat, you will learn how to use audio equipment, techniques for recording how to organize your content and workflow, basic editing concepts, interviewing and storytelling techniques, and learn tips on sustaining your podcast. By the end of the daylong retreat, each participant will walk away with a plan of action based around their individual projects and a new set of skills to push it forward.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Keisha "TK" Dutes is an independent audio producer and co-host of TK in The AM, live streaming morning show on Bondfire Radio. With experience spanning terrestrial radio (WBAI-NY) , online, podcast and audio drama, her life is in audio is all encompassing. TK counts produces Buzzfeed's "Thirst Aid Kit" and audio drama's like "The Weeksvile Project" a story about about a free Black community Brooklyn as her most recent pride and joys. She also spreads the gospel of radio and podcasting through workshops and mentorship, and was recently listed on Current.org's "Black Talents in Public Media You Should Know." Currently, she is an audio producer at Glitch, a technology company bring back the open web.
PRICING
The cost of this workshop is $125 for non-members and $100 for members of the Podcast Garage or members of the Harvard Ed Portal (i.e. any Allston-Brighton resident).
