2016 has been quite a year. We’ve really honed our national skill of arguing past each other, although we haven’t been as great at listening to each other. We’ve become strangers - sometimes even to our own neighbors, coworkers or classmates - making assumptions about each other that don’t allow for the complexity of human experience.
Let’s make 2017 a year of greater curiosity and connection. In the days leading up to the inauguration, join us to share reflections on our political landscape, the personal experiences that have shaped your views, and your hopes for the new year in Boston and beyond. We’ll start with an open mic for storytelling, move to group discussion, and introduce Essential Partners’ method for constructive dialogue across differences. Whether you make a podcast, like to talk to strangers, or want to learn how to ask the right questions in 2017, join us.
This event is free. Spots are limited, so please register here.

Essential Partners has worked for more than 25 years to facilitate conversations and equip people using our approach to dialogue. We bring a method that is applicable and adaptable in a wide variety of contexts. Our method, Reflective Structured Dialogue (RSD), relies on preparation, structure, questions, facilitation, and reflection to enable people to harness their capacity to have the conversations they need to have. We offer training, facilitation, and consultation -- all aimed to equip communities to have the conversations about what is most essential to be able to move forward and create new ways of being together.
